From the President’s desk

Greetings in the name of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.

It was a long awaited, cherished desire of the members of the pastorate to have a website of our church. It is indeed a dream come true and a blessing, because the LORD Almighty God planned it for a time as this being the sesquicenntenial year to get started. As we all know that being digitised is the need of the hour, seeing to the fast moving pace of the world.

As president of the WFCS, It gives me immense pleasure to write something about the WFCS committee on this platform. The WFCS of our church was formed decades ago. It is an integral part of the church, which is run by the ladies of the pastorate. The ladies in the past who were actively involved in running the committee and bringing the ladies together were Late Mrs Veera Daniel, Late Mrs.Meera Rawat, Late Mrs.Catherine Bosman, Late Mrs.Violet Benjamin, Mrs Ramona Singh and many others, all of whose names cannot be mentioned. They were the pillars of the WFCS and much to be appreciated.

The WFCS is involved in various activities throughout the year. We have prayer services, seminars, WFCS Sundays and WFCS Christmas Tree. We also have Outreach programmes like visits to the Orphanage/Shelter Homes, Old Age Home, Slums etc. Retreats are also planned at times. The ladies of the WFCS also engage in services like helping with the Bhandara work organised by the church, and stall in the fete etc.

The aim of the WFCS is to bring together the ladies of the church, both young and old to work for the church and to grow in the LORD. Working together also gives us an opportunity to bear with one another and work in unity and harmony for our LORD and progress of the church.

WFCS gives opportunity to the ladies to bear responsibility. It also gives exposure to pray and share the word of God during the regular meetings as well as special services in the church.

I appreciate all the ladies who are at present involved in the committee and thank God and pray that each one of us work together for the glory of God. By this we set an example to live for Christ.
