Since its founding in the 1950s, the Epiphany Church Choir has held a special place in the church’s worship life. Known for its beautiful four-part harmony, the choir united a group of dedicated members whose musical gifts uplifted the congregation and deepened the spiritual experience.
The choir’s foundation rested on the contributions of key figures, including the Frank brothers, Mr. Simpson Egbert, Mrs. Catherine Bosman, Mrs. Noreen Buck, Col. E. J. Singh, Rev. Adams and Mr. Julian Franklin. Together, these singers brought depth and richness to the choir’s sound, blending their voices to create a harmonious whole.
Mr. E. H. Williams served as the organist, providing the essential accompaniment that added resonance to the choir’s performance. Directing the choir was Mr. Archie Frank, whose leadership helped shape its early identity and musical style. Following him, Mr. Amarjeet Frank took on the role of organist and led the choir, dedicating an extraordinary 60 years of service from 1962 to 2022. His enduring presence became a defining aspect of the choir’s history, linking generations through music.
The church was also blessed by the talent of Mrs. Primrose Bodhan, whose organ playing brought grace and reverence to the worship services.
Today, the Epiphany Church Choir is remembered not only for its music but for the sense of unity, faith, and devotion it cultivated. Its legacy continues as a testament to the power of music in worship, symbolizing the deep connection between faith and harmony that brought the congregation together for decades.
